    Tag: Darknet

The Darknet refers to a part of the internet that is not indexed by traditional search engines and requires specific software, configurations, or authorization to access. It is often associated with anonymity and privacy, allowing users to browse and communicate without revealing their identities. The Darknet utilizes various protocols, such as Tor (The Onion Router), which anonymizes users’ internet traffic by routing it through multiple servers around the globe. Due to its anonymous nature, the Darknet has become a haven for a variety of activities, including those that are legal, such as privacy-focused communication, as well as illegal activities, including the sale of illicit goods, drugs, and other restricted services. The distinction between the Darknet and the Deep Web is important; while the Deep Web encompasses all parts of the internet not indexed by search engines (such as private databases and paywalled content), the Darknet specifically refers to the encrypted networks that require specialized access tools.
